We are pleased to introduce Hal Walker as the MD of our training band.
Hal started playing the cornet at the age of 7, through the Salvation Army.
He later changed to euphonium although he did have a spell on baritone.
Hal has played with Ceramic Brass, Crewe Brass, Robert’s Bakery and now sits on Principal Euphonium seat with TCTC Group Brass Band.
Hal was also instrumental in the founding of Foden’s Youth Brass Band where he spent three years as their Principal Euphonium player.
Alongside conducting Trentham Brass’s beginner and training bands, Hal is also bandmaster at Longton Salvation Army.
Hal attended Birmingham Conservatoire where he studied euphonium under Matthew White, Phillipe Schwartz and David Childs. He is currently training to become a music teacher and hopes to qualify later this year.
